The Public Integrity Education Network

Website of PIEN

A Joint Initiative of TIRI and the Central European University

A critical ingredient to the success and sustainability of efforts to implement emerging anti-corruption standards is the integration of public and organizational integrity and corruption control courses into the curriculum of major universities and civil service training institutions around the world. While major universities in Europe and North America and international agencies have begun to address this need, courses are not available to the overwhelming majority of students and young to mid-career professionals in developing and transitions countries, where such programmes are most urgently needed. The considerable benefits that accrue from sharing critical case studies, syllabi, teaching methods, and best practices are also missing from these efforts in most cases, as no forum or network currently exists that brings relevant institutions together.
