Books
The purpose of this series is to publish monographs and collections of essays dealing with a variety of issues of public policy. The CPS sponsors the publications partially from its own resources and partially from external sources. The staff of CPS coordinates the preparation of the volumes and plays an active part in editing and generally preparing the manuscript for publication. The CEU Press is the publisher and the distributor of the series.
Joint Publications
CPS frequently cooperates with other institutions and individual researchers in various projects resulting in books, policy studies or other publications. CPS staff takes active part in the research preceding the publications, some of which are co-funded and co-edited by CPS. CPS also promotes them through its different networks and supports the distribution.
Working Papers and Reports
The CPS makes available short discussion papers for debate. They may be papers prepared for conferences and workshops, they may come from the research of one of the policy fellows of CPS or they may come from CEU faculty. The intention is very much to stimulate debate and show works in progress rather than showcase a series of highly polished academic articles. Modified versions of these papers may be found published elsewhere. Here is just their first outing.
